About Nathan Vosburg

Hi, I’m Nathan Vosburg—public servant, technology consultant, and proud Coalinga resident. With deep roots in California’s Central Valley, I’ve spent the last two decades working at the intersection of community, technology, and leadership. Whether it’s improving local infrastructure, helping small businesses get started, or solving computer problems one house call at a time—I believe in building stronger communities through practical, hands-on service.

Professional

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to serve the City of Coalinga as a two-time Mayor and multi-term Councilmember. I’ve worked alongside dedicated colleagues and city staff to shape policy and implement projects that directly impact residents’ daily lives. My focus has always been on collaboration, transparency, and results.

Key Civic Accomplishments:

    • Proudly supported the Council, City Staff, and city partners in the Coalinga Air Show, transforming it into a regional attraction that celebrates aviation, honors service members, and generates local pride and economic activity.

    • Worked collaboratively to grow the event’s scale, improve logistics, and ensure strong public turnout—turning the air show into a signature Coalinga tradition once again.

  • Community Projects & Quality of Life

    • Helped launch and support Coalinga’s Farmers Market, Food Truck Nights, and the Pierce Street Community Garden.

    • Championed investment of surplus funds into infrastructure such as a splash pad, new animal shelter, and an outdoor food court for family and business use.

    • Participated in the executive recruitment and hiring process for a new City Manager, helping guide a smooth transition.

    • Approved upgrades including a new citywide phone system and the launch of the CitySourced mobile app for modernized resident engagement.

    • Pushed for the website revitalization, and city council meetings being stream to promote transparency and accountability in city government.

Entrepreneurship

CEO – Vosburg Technology Center LLC 2008-2020 – our team operated a full service internet provider, computer repair, buy-sell, and networking consulting business. Over the 12 years in business our team built and maintained a 14 wireless network towers with community partnerships that brought broadband to over 300 rural customers. That experience shaped my understanding of local business, customer service, and rural digital access long before it was a statewide issue.

Volunteer & Community Involvement

Giving back is a value I live every day—on the sidelines, in the food line, or behind the scenes helping build stronger local institutions.

  • Vice President / Chair – Coalinga Area Chamber of Commerce
Helped lead strategic initiatives, support small businesses, and promote community events.

  • AYSO Youth Soccer Coach
Guided local youth in teamwork, fitness, and leadership through sport.

  • Flag Football Coach
Supported youth engagement and confidence-building through coaching and mentorship.

  • Fresno Food Bank Volunteer
Helped ensure local families have access to food and essential supplies during times of need.

More Than a Title

At home, I’m a husband to Claudia—The principal of Coalinga-Huron’s Alternative education high school’s and lifelong educator—and the proud father of three amazing kids: two sons (ages 16 and 19) and a 4-year-old daughter who brings joy and mischief in equal measure. We also share our home with two poodles who think they’re in charge (and maybe they are).

I believe in showing up—for my family, my neighbors, and my city. Whether it’s solving a budget issue, fixing a Wi-Fi signal, or getting your event permit approved, I’m here to help make things work better for our community.

If you’re here to connect, collaborate, or ask a question—welcome. I look forward to hearing from you.
